LANDMARK FORUM
So, I just spent two hours at an Intro to Landmark Forum and the question is: is it worth the money and time? If you have every heard of it...leave me a comment...I am definitely leaning towards it, but would love feedback!

AMM online crop
I have been participating in AMM online crop this weekend. So fun! The best part are the challenges; they have forced me to scrap some old pics which is always a good thing. I will post some pics of the layouts after I finish the last one. Kate went to the most adorable 4 yo girl party, a fairy princess party, yesterday. She had such a good time...her birthday is Tuesday and I haven't figured out what to do for her...I know, a bit late in the game so to speak! Suggestions welcome!

Mac
My ibook is on its last legs I think...so sad...I turn it on, it acts like it is loading...and it turns BLUE! So, I have to wait a while, a long while, and turn it on and it works for a while, then...it freezes. ARRRGGGGHHHH! So, I am working on Kevin's laptop right now, I really need to get a new computer. I have been trying to back up all my stuff, but having trouble doing it because it keeps freezing! This is when having a teacher's salary is so not cool because I don't get a real paycheck for a month more! I have had my computer for almost 3 years, it's been dropped at least eight times, but I just can't believe the trouble I have had. So, do I buy another Mac laptop or do I go with a Mac desktop...I am really leaning towards the desktop because I feel like it would last longer. I am even considering the Mac mini to which Kevin replies, "Don't be so cheap!" Me cheap? He clearly hasn't been paying attention! LOL But, actually I am always looking for a deal, so I can buy more! Suggestions are really appreciated!

My playlist
For the thisisme blog...I had to create a playlist of songs I enjoy...boy, do I have some random choices. I pretty much like any genre of music, although rap is my least favorite. I guess I am a lit bit country and a lot more rock and roll! I like to go on Elsie Flannigan's blog to see her latest picks, they seem to match my tastes pretty well. Recently, I downloaded Sixpence None the Richer after seeing it on her blog...completely forgot about this 80s band. I am really enjoying it.

Journal Entry for challenge Blog - Hobbies
Hobbies was the topic for this journal entry. I am starting to get the hang of journaling and trying to be creative on the blank page. Playing around with my scanner, trying to use it, instead of taking pics of my los and journal pages. I am enjoying this journaling experience because I think it will be fun to look back in a few years and see how things have stayed the same and how things have changed.

He got the job...
okay so I was going to write about my prefered time to scrapbook, but first I have to say, "KEVIN GOT THE JOB!" Kevin has wanted to get back into high school for the last two years (since he went to middle school). My first choice has always been Millikan: it is the closest to home, good students, less problems workwise, closest to Matt's (and next year Kate's) schools, just better. But, I know I cannot be the one to tell him what to do. Well, the karma is coming my way...he got a call today...he is going to teach Earth Science to ninth graders...it's not p.e., but that is just fine and dandy for me! He gets to help coach basketball which he has missed for two years now. He is still holding a little bit in until HRS calls, but in my opinion, he got the job.

Re-entering the blogging world
Well, now it a little over 15 days until school starts! Ha! I have had a busy summer mostly with work which is what I am not supposed to do during my vacation! I have been getting back into scrapbooking and reading some really cool blogs and message boards. I am going to attempt to add my los I have from mbs to my blog so I will always have them here for a reference. Off to research adding links and such.

Attempts at Blogging
Okay so I guess I will try to customize this blog, but first a few notations. What is the allure of blogging? For me it seems to be a sort of public diary keeping. Myabe a way to communicate with friends who live out of the area, that would basically be Tiffany and Kristin, and maybe Elizabeth since I hardly ever see her anyways.
Latest news...15 days of school left, I can hardly wait; I gave my final for Long Beach City College tonight...hurray...a few weeks until summary school starts at LBCC for six weeks.
Matt is doing really well in school finishing up the school year with exciting kindergarten activities: the Greg and Steve Show in Redondo Beach, first time lunch at the cafeteria, and his first classroom speech about dinosaurs.
Kate is so funny. She says silly things, she is really a mimic of Matt!
Kevin is still playing basketball on Wednesday nights, it might be a Wednesday night ritual to blog while the kids are asleep and kevin is playing basketball.

Transfer Blog
This was my first blog on a different site that ended up being a problematic site.

Okay so here it is, in typical fashion, I am multi-tasking...watching Brothers and Sisters, one of my favorite shows and finding a new hobby, blogging. The kids are asleep...in their own beds for once! I let them stay up until 8:45 tonight because I found a new channel on our new Verizon/Direct tv (hurray no cable!) and we are hooked on this Irish cartoon about a grandpa pig who tells stories of his childhood to his twin boy grandsons.
We went to the Mother's Bay today on Bayshore for a couple hours..we had a great time. Of course, Matt and Kate found a couple of kids to play with and so I didn't have to spend too much time in the water, although I did go in at the end. One of the kids is the nephew of a former student so I spent a few minutes chatting with her and her sister and mother. I don't remember her (about six years ago, she was my student) which is unusual because I almost always remember the former students I bump into around town.
What I had the most fun about at the bay was the fact that both kids played in the water and weren't afraid of it; they have had so much time in their Aunt Penny's pool the last year. I wasn't sure what they would think of the bay water. But, they felt comfortable in the ocean which thrills me a ton.
Well, that is a basic summary of my day. My show is getting exciting so ... I'll see if I stick to this!
